Privacy-First Approach

We believe in transparency and minimal data collection. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it.

What Data We Collect

Account Information:

  • Email address (for authentication)
  • Account creation date
  • Subscription tier (free or pro)

Usage Tracking (Minimal Metadata Only):

  • Timestamp when you process a tab
  • Number of tabs processed
  • Your subscription tier at time of processing

Payment Information:

  • Handled entirely by Stripe (we never see your card details)
  • We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to manage your subscription

What We DON'T Collect

No AI analysis results - Tags and categories stay in your browser

How We Use Your Data

We only use collected data to:

  • Authenticate your account
  • Track your usage quota (free: 100/month, pro: 1,000/month)
  • Manage your subscription and billing
  • Send essential emails (password reset, billing notifications)

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Your tabs, bookmarks, tags, and AI analysis results are stored entirely in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

Server Storage: We use Supabase (a secure, SOC-2 compliant platform) to store only your account information and usage metadata. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Data Retention: Usage events are automatically deleted after 1 year for privacy compliance.

Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data via email
  • Delete: Delete your account and all data from our servers
  • Export: Your local data can be exported anytime
  • Portability: Take your data with you if you leave

Third-Party Services

We use these trusted services:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database hosting
  • Stripe: Payment processing (they handle all payment data)
  • OpenAI: AI analysis (we send only tab title/URL, no browsing content)

Each service has their own privacy policies and security measures.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how data is handled (spoiler: we won't), we'll update this policy and the extension listing.
